Oates respectfully calls it a career

Adam Oates held a press conference today to announce that he finally discovered that he was too old to play and retired. Since becoming an Edmonton Oiler, Oates was hoping to make the playoffs and quest one more time for that elusive Stanley Cup ring.

Oates was also a member of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals.
