Team USA almost missed not qualifying for the medal round in next Winter Olympics by defeating Belarus 4-2 in regulation round after losing the first 3 games in Preliminary action. The loss would have had made team USA play a few more games to qualify to the Olympic tournament in Turin, Italy.
