Ottawa Citizen's Obituary slams Goodenow and Bettman

I have to laugh at the couple of sources who report on this unusual story of how the hockey lockout killed a long time hockey fan.

TSN and Yahoo! Sports tell the unfortunate passing of Mr. Bennitz, a lifelong Leafs fan who recently enjoyed watching Senators games. According to the article, he spent the remaining days on a hospital bed complaining that there was no hockey to watch.

His son, David, with accordance to the will, wrote the obituary that appeared in a recent Ottawa Citizen edition. He wanted Bettman and Goodenow to know that his dad, Archibald "Archie" Bennitz, thought they were "skunks" for denying him the opportunity to watch hockey.

Archie was diagnosed with lung cancer a while before his death. He was 84. We fans here in America and this blogger would like to send our condolences to the surviving members of the Bennitz family. Donations are recommended to the Canadian Cancer Society.
