I guess my friend The Patriette would be excited to know that a little attention is being turned to women's hockey and to the University of Minnesota players who are finalists to the 2005 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award to crown the best women's player in NCAA Women's hockey. They will announce the winner tomorrow March 26th. My money is on #7 Krissy Wendell because she has pretty eyes. Just kidding! She's been the 2x WCHA player of the year and the top WCHA goal scorer (40) with 2.57 GPP. That's awesome. And she's a Communications major!

Slam! Sports.ca Boards had an interesting thread that brought up the question of what happens to all the families that don't have the income anymore due to the lockout situation. It's interesting if any reporter were to talk to any wives or live-in girlfriends who depend upon the paycheck.
