AHL Playoffs Begin This Week

It might not be NHL "Cup Crazy", but the 16 teams that made the post-season in the American Hockey League will start their semi-final series this week.

Notables: Look for Milwaukee to make short work of Cincinnati as the defending AHL champions. My Penguins will have to play at top level and Fleury must rise to his hype if they are to survive against top ranked Binghamton Senators and Jason Spezza. It's the last run for St. John's, so lets see if they go out in a blaze of glory.

Since the IHL-AHL merger, only former IHL teams have won the Calder Cup.
