ESPN Divorces NHL and Go Separate Ways

Rogers Sportsnet is reporting in this hour that the NHL has been dropped from ESPN network in America by declining it's option to renew their $60 million (US) contract.

Speculation is following the idea and how it affects the ongoing Lockout negotiations. It is also speculative that ESPN may pick up the NHL under new negotiations of the "rights fees" clauses. ESPN2 may decide to take the NHL back to air the games if and when the NHL returns.
