The Vancouver Canucks have called a press conference for this early evening (EST) to announce the firing of their head coach Marc Crawford after missing the playoffs this season with the aspirations running high to the post season.
Crawford isn't the first coach to get the ax after the teams goals fell short. Pat Quinn and Craig Patrick were fired last week. The Canucks are frustrated to no ends as to the chance that they might get past the first round of the playoffs and be a potential team to bring the Cup back to Canada.
Already, the speculation has started as to where Marc will show up next. He may go to Toronto because he was once the "coach in waiting". Sorry, Paul Marice. Better luck next time.
