Because I wanted to keep the channel up to date, here is a short video vlog talking about the 19 Random Hockey Facts based upon the video that I made on my variety youtube channel. TribLive Launches Local Radio Internet Broadcasts

The Confessions of a Hockey Fanatic blog would like to announce a new arrival in partnership to the blog.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, also known as "the Trib," is the second largest daily newspaper serving metropolitan Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States. As part of the Trib Total Media conglomerate, the Tribune-Review has partnerships with ABC affiliate WTAE-TV (owned by the Hearst Corporation) and Clear Channel's Pittsburgh area properties, in particular classic rock station WDVE and talk radio station WPGB.

Trib Total Media has launched a Internet broadcast website where they use some of the familiar voices at the old WEAE-AM 1250 once broadcast. I am told that it also features a show from former Penguins winger Rick Tocchet. It will be an honor to work with them as I continue to extend the COHF blog brand to the local mainstream media.

Czabe: Hockey Jersey Faux Pas

I took some heat on the feedback section of my readers when I published a opinion on sticking up for hockey fans who customize their jersey. My favorite morning broadcaster Steve Czaban, of FOX Sports Radio, does a podcast and enhances it with cartoonish animations. You can entertain yourself here as he talks about the Hockey Jerseys fans just shouldn't wear!So, yea, that first example did me in with the same number I use! Ugh!

Hockey Fanatic Podcast No. 6

Okay, I think it is about time that I rev up the ol' audio podcast blog once more for another episode of what I think! I chose to make a podcast blog about the Penguins and the new retro fashion trend. I want to tell those Penguins fans about the choice in attire convincing them with short memories that the blue sweaters are actually associated with a bunch of losing Penguins teams from 1967-1979s.I am at the Penn State Greater Allegheny campus this time around for my "random" location for this podcast. I got to meet up with a lot of familiar professors who recognized me from 10 years ago. I am glad to see that I am still remembered on this campus.

Hockey Fanatic Podcast No. 5 - Live Edition

I decided as a new addition to the All-Star festivities should include a little live audio blogging stunt as I watch the NHL Skills competition live from the Confessions of a Hockey Fanatic Studios.

I tried to save a few soundbytes from the audio, but it didn't quite work out the way I planned it to. I watched the shootout competition and commented as it was happening. So, if you taped the Versus Network version, then go ahead and play this overtop for a second alternative audio. Tomorrow I will be watching the All-Star game from my "Cheers" in Rivertowne Pub & Grille. Stay tuned as I will be talking about that sometime soon.

Hockey Fanatic Podcast No. 4

Hi everybody! Here is another rendition of my blog's podcasts that I have uploaded. I am cozily situated within my own hometown of North Huntingdon, PA and enjoying a hot chocolate and bagel at Java Trails Coffee. If you are ever here, please shop around and buy a cup. Hockey Fanatic Podcast No. 3

This time, the Confessionals podcast comes on location from one of (and unfortunately the only) true gem of Tarentum, PA witch is the Galleria @ Pittsburgh Mills. If you are in the greater Pittsburgh area or plan on coming out to see a Penguins game, I recommend making a trip out to see this really beautiful shopping facility.

As I explain in the podcast, I was going to write out a blog last night, but instead chose a inspirational setting to host my next vocal addition to this website. I am really starting to collect the bits and pieces to a hockey uniform in hopes to be ready for both roller and ice someday soon. But do I invest in a eye shield visor? Hockey Fanatic Podcast No. 2

It's back!

The long awaited return of the "Confessionals" podcasts that I started almost a year ago. I didn't get a whole lot of feedback on the last one, but since my readership has grown quite larger than the last time I tried this. I am going to do it again. The locational host of this podcast is my favorite hangout that is becoming my "Cheers". Located on Rt 30 in N. Huntingdon, is Rivertowne Pub & Grille. Please tip your waitresses generously.

Today's broadcast talks about my plans to grow my game playing hobby out further by holding another video game tournament. Only this time it will be on July 4, 2007.

Hockey Fanatic Podcasting

Wow! Look at this date! It's the last few days in May and it's 90 degrees outside in the Pittsburgh suburbs. They're still playing hockey somewhere!! And as long as there is hockey to be played, I'll still be around as one of the internet's pioneers of hockey blogging. It's my blog's anniversary so, I have to post about it and contemplate the future for this hockey blog and the blogger community.

Can any of the other hockey bloggers say you've been around as long as I have? Nope. But I am really glad to have met a lot of nice people with similar interests. And I'm also glad that I've had the opportunity to network with some legitimate hockey reporters and those that have also done their work in the trenches to call journalism a career.

I would also like to thank my Canadian peers for venturing over to this blog from time to time. It's truly an honor to have your feedback. Hockey seems to be really underrepresented here in the states and to have the game shared with the culture that cares about it most has been really enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don't have too many people in my neighborhood that enjoys hockey like I do.

I can't tell you enough what this game means to me. It's really helped me become an even bigger fan of the game and it's also helped me out to appreciate it more over the years.

So, to start this next year I'm going to debut my new addition to the Confessions of a Hockey Fanatic blog! Podcasting! Actually... I'm going to officially call them "Confessionals"... after all.. that is what this hockey blog is titled!
